Random Stuff...

It is Thursday and I am looking forward to the weekend. This week has been a bit random and nothing has gone as planned. (or hoped) Monday was Monday. Thankful to be alive but cranky about getting up for another week of early morning shuffling to get everyone out on time. But... this Monday we had a little glimmer of hope in the horizon. The weather people were calling for a significant snow storm to hit us Tuesday. Now people when you use the word significant we are expecting HUGE! They worked this storm up all weekend. The kids were excited, I was excited, even little Daisy was excited (okay maybe that was pushing it). Well to make a not so happy story short it was nothing near "significant" it was an epic fail. We did get one day off of school and a 2 hour delay, which was just enough to throw any schedule off.

This week we have been following the journey of Daddio's Dad and step mom as they have ventured to Ecuador. It has been in the making for about a year and they finally made the leap. They are planning to retire there but have allowed themselves a set amount of time until they figure out which town they would like to call their home. It has been so fun reading the updates of their everyday experiences. Reading about how they are living and adjusting to the differences in culture. I think is so cool to go out of what is "normal" and explore the world. They are enjoying the local markets, new taste, and the people. Here is a picture she sent from their hostal (hotel).

So beautiful :)

and last I leave you a video! My Rog has acquired a skill on video editing. For Christmas he received a new camera from Santa! This is from Christmas Day at my parents house. My dad was feeling a bit spunky that day and I promise no alcohol was involved.
